Have you ever felt like you're doing amazing work, but not enough people know about it? Like you're the "best-kept secret" in your industry?
A surprising thing happened during a recent book circle discussion about my book Unlock Your Impact. One of the participants shared that the theme that resonated most deeply with her was spaciousness. As soon as she said it, something clicked. I felt the deep truth of it. At the same time, I was taken aback, because I actually never used that word in the book. And yet, she was so right.
Spaciousness is one of the quiet forces running through everything I teach.
It’s in the posture I invite you to take, the resistance to pressure I encourage, the rhythm and structure of the Magnet Model itself. Spaciousness is the hidden architecture that supports marketing that feels good, and works.
And as I’ve sat with this realization, I’ve come to see something else too: spaciousness is both the condition that makes values-aligned marketing possible, and the result of doing it well. It’s both where we begin and where we’re headed. The energy we need to bring to our business, and the experience we want our business to create for us.
In this series of articles, I want to explore what spaciousness really means in the context of mission-driven entrepreneurship, and how it can change everything about how we approach marketing, sales, visibility, and even success itself.
Because for so many of us, marketing is a source of stress. It feels like pressure. Performance. Something very different from the work we love. And in that state, squeezed, disconnected, we lose access to our most magnetic energy: generosity, curiosity, creativity, presence.
Spaciousness is what brings us back.
It’s what allows us to:
Reconnect with the joy of helping
Listen deeply, instead of reacting quickly
Stay grounded in our mission when scarcity creeps in
Create content and conversations that resonate rather than convince
Move with intention instead of hustle
And ultimately, it’s what lets us build the kind of business we truly want, one that supports not just income and impact, but a way of living that feels expansive, sustainable, and deeply fulfilling.
Each article in this series will dive into a different facet of spaciousness:
Spaciousness as a Precondition: how space is necessary to show up generously and strategically.
Spaciousness vs. Financial Pressure: the vicious cycle that traps us in scarcity, and how space helps us break it.
Spaciousness and Deep Listening: how real presence creates magnetic conversations.
Spaciousness as the Real Goal: the truth behind what we’re really seeking in freedom, time, and money.
Spaciousness as the Magnetic State: the energetic shift that draws the right people toward us.
Whether you’re brand new to the Magnet Model or deep in your journey, my hope is that this series offers you clarity, relief, and perhaps even a few breaths of fresh air. Marketing doesn’t have to feel like pressure. Your mission can be the magnet, and spaciousness can be your guide.
Let’s begin. I will share these articles over the next 2 weeks so SUBSCRIBE HERE if you don't want to miss them.
PS: If this introduction helped you see how spaciousness might be the missing piece in your marketing… I will explore these themes even further in my emails, along with how we can start creating space for thoughtfulness and resonance.
